James John Corbett, the Father of Modern Boxing, wrote this autobiography, "The Roar of the Crowd", in 1924, first serializing it in The Saturday Evening Post in six installments. "Gentleman Jim" chronicles his life in the fight world and, most interestingly, his and other's training techniques. The heavyweight champ signed and inscribed (both NRMT) the first page, dated Jan. 20, 1926, in Bayside, New York. Missing the dust jacket, the book itself is in fine shape (EX-MT), the spine is solid, and pages clean.
