In 1951, the National League celebrated its 75th anniversary. In honor of this occurrence a gathering was held on February 2nd at the Broadway Central Hotel in New York City. We have an amazing memory from that exciting day. An original actual invitation to this very special event. But there's more. We also have a photo from the event and what a photo it is. Some of the biggest stars in the history of the game. Both pieces are framed and matted together in one display. The invitation to the 75th Anniversary celebration is signed by some of greatest players of all time: Cy Young, Mel Ott, Eddie Collins, Ty Cobb, Kid Nichols, Rogers Hornsby, Pie Traynor, Jimmie Foxx, Ed Walsh, Tris Speaker, Fred Clarke, Mickey Cochrane and Charlie Gehringer. All signatures are in ink and average 8/10. The accompanying original, oversized photo (14 x 10") has all of these great players for the ages and the famous restaurateur, Toots Shor.
