In this 1982 contract, Ted Williams agrees to appear at a 2-day collectors' show in Connecticut in 1983, and to sign 2000 autographs while there. The document provides an insight into the early days of our hobby, and a definite reminder of how much values have increased - Ted Williams was paid $10,000 for signing 2,000 autographs, exactly $5 each! The Agreement is prominently signed by Williams at the bottom in black felt tip pen, rating a solid 9/10, and is dated 11/6/82. The 8 x 9 1/2" document is matted beside a 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" 1939 color photo of Williams, to an overall size of 21 1/2" x 14 1/4". Agreement has two horizontal creases from mailing, but is in EX condition otherwise.
