Fathers and sons and baseball. It’s a combo that has existed since the game first started. Fathers pass along their affinity for the game and on most occasions their favorite team preferences. A photo couldn’t capture this phenomenon any better than this one. Major leaguer Tommy Leach engaged in a game of catch. His son, the team mascot, in full uniform, also playing catch, along side his dad, awaiting the toss back from his partner. On the son’s face, pure determination and it’s obvious that he knows how to behave on the field. A few feet behind them, another kid who looks like he was sent there by central casting of the Little Rascals. His tongue is hanging out. Jealousy, perhaps? Mostly empty stadium in the background. Photo (6-7/8 X 4-7/8”) is NRMT. Reverse has Baseball Magazine hologram and stamp from Paul Thompson Agency.
