Before the TV cult series The Green Hornet even began shooting, a letter was sent to Lee from the President of Greenway Productions (which, by the way, produced the successful Batman TV series). In his typewritten letter to Bruce, William Dozzier says, “my present thinking is to feature you as Kato, the Oriental-ish right hand man of the Green Hornet...” He concluded with the words, “it will provide an auspicious launching for you.” Bruce Lee was obviously involved and excited about the Green Hornet project and the two other letters refer to Lee wanting to meet with the writer and being complimented to continuing his work on “Kung Foo,” so, in the words of the letter writer Dozier, “we can give television audiences something most unusual.” How true those words turned out to be! Also included in this collection are three MT actor-autographed action photos and one passport-looking shot.
