Imagine owning this: The World Junior Lightweight Championship belt, the highest award in boxing, won by Alfredo Marcano of Venezuela who knocked out Hiroshi Kobayashi of Japan in Aomori Japan July 29, 1971. The workmanship on the belt is remarkable and there are 3 separate medalions. The one in the middle of the belt is crowned with a golden eagle over the inscription “World Junior Lightweight Championship Won By Alfredo Marcano Of Venezuela” with the national flags of the two fighters. To the wearer’s right is “Knocked Out Hiroshi Kobayashi In 10 Rounds” and to the left is “In Aomori Japan July 29, 1971.” Some of the links are missing or disconnected but otherwise in about excellent condition. Nearly 2’ 2” by 1’ 2” beautifully framed.
