In 1965, the LA Dodgers edged out the SF Giants, their seemingly forever hated rival, by two games. The World Series was also no cakewalk, but after seven hard fought games they prevailed over the Minnesota Twins. The Twins, it should be noted, were operating at a severe disadvantage. They were the team that did not have Sandy Koufax. This proved to be the difference when the legendary lefty tossed a shutout, allowing only two singles and a lone double in the final game. He struck out ten and basically handcuffed the overmatched lineup despite the presence of two great hitters, Killebrew and Oliva. Official Reach AL Cronin baseball is NRMT. Signatures (23) average 8-9/10 with one common that is lighter than all the rest. Koufax, Drysdale, Alston, Parker, Moon, Podres, Lefebvre, Osteen, Perranoski, Crawford, Johnson and the rest of the gang are all here.
