Masaichi Kaneda was simply the greatest Japanese pitcher of all-time, no argument, hands-down. He was the Japanese equivalent of Cy Young. Kaneda holds several major Japanese pitching records: most career wins (400), strikeouts (4490), complete games (365), and innings pitched (5526 2/3). He was also second in shutouts with 82, pitched 39 complete games without surrendering a walk and had a lifetime earned run average of 2.34. He spent the first 15 years of his 19 season career with the Kokutetsu Swallows, followed by 4 with the Yomiuri Giants. This is one of the finest examples you can find of Kaneda in the famous Kabaya-Leaf collection of 1967. Well centered, with great coloring. This is easily one of highest graded examples of this card known to exist
