Great early 1900’s Harvard University football jug. Similar football jugs and mugs were made for many schools, but this is Harvard my good man. Large sized antique football jug (10-1/2” tall) features a beautiful period image of a vintage baseball player from Harvard University. The image is hand painted and was produced by the famous illustrator, F.Earl Christy. To the left of the image is a facsimile of the laces in a football, made even more realistic because the jug is similarly shaped to a football. On the opposite side, the Harvard University seal. The porcelain has some very minute paint chips but is in o/w NRMT condition.
