This is a real photo postcard of the 1904 Westmount hockey team from Montreal featuring Frank Patrick. This particular Patrick, along with his brother Lester, made vital contributions to hockey during its infancy. They were excellent players, managers and team owners and the founders and organizers of leagues all across North America. Frank was responsible for an incredible number of rule changes and innovations, shaping the modern game and influencing other sports with his keen mind and leadership. B&W postcard shows a group of eight men, seven in hockey gear. Hall of Famer Frank Patrick appears second from the left. Front of card appears NRMT. On the reverse is some glue residue and all players are identified in vintage pen including Patrick. Postard was mailed but the stamp has since been removed.
