Felix Pappalardi / Mountain stage-used Martin Bernard leather
jacket and vintage Nakamichi 550 Cassette Recorder. Both items date from the legendary Mountain Reunion Tour in 1974. Mountain had its debut at the Fillmore West in 1969 and played at Woodstock soon after. Led by the distinctive and highly expressive guitar work of Leslie West, with Corky Laing on drums, Steve Knight on keyboards, and with Felix Pappalardi on bass and working magic in the studio, Mountain quickly caught the attention of a legion of fans. The group recorded four albums in its 2 1/2 year existence, with three of the albums - “Mountain Climbing”, “Nantucket Sleighride” and, later, “The Best of Mountain”, all becoming gold records. Letters of Authenticity accompany both items. Condition: cassette deck “as is” but working well when last used. Jacket: some use, with wear on high points and light fraying. A later owner has added a high-quality airbrush image of a black-tressed pinup girl on the back, with “My Babydoll” in script. From the Pappalardi estate.
