Blueprints of the 106th Floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. This is a complete lapset (smaller version) of plans given to every contractor involved in the project of rehabbing parts of the building after the 1993 attack. The blues mainly relate to The Windows On The World Restaurant, a popular spot for tourists, businessmen and building employees, providing a spectacular view of the city. Even though the explosion took place below the building there was smoke damage that reached all the way up. The job cost 30 million dollars and was overseen by the Port Authority of New York, the owners of the buildings. The work was done in the ceilings of Cantor Fitzgerald’s executive offices which was located just under the kitchen area of Cellar in the Sky on the 106th floor. Papers come wrapped around double aluminum rods that are 32” in length. Obtained from one of the foreman that worked on this chiling job.
