Jell-O® was invented in 1897 when May Wait, a housewife from LeRoy, New York purchased the rights of an existing powdered gelatin and added sugar to the mix. In 1899, Jell-O® was sold to Orator Woodward who successfully marketed it to the American public. This sheet (31-1/4” X 39-1/2”), mounted on cardboard, has 18 sections that could have ended up as boxes. Each box has a baseball card on it. The players featured are: Tony Gonzalez, Russ Snyder, Jim Kaat, Steve Burns, Bob Rodgers, Al McBean, Felix Mantilla, John Blanchard, Charlie James, Ken Retzer, Julian Javier, Marty Keough, Andre Rodgers, Carl Warwick, Eddie Kasko, Ray Herbert, Lenny Green and Heywood Sullivan.
