Two more great Jim Davidson government postcards, singly signed by two of Connie Mack’s biggest weapons on the Philadelphia A’s in the early 1900s -- HOFers Frank “Home Run” Baker and pitcher Chief Bender, on cards with their images affixed, Baker from yore and Bender as an elderly A’s coach. Both signatures are 9/10 and both postcards are EX+. The Bender postcard is not postmarked but is marked “1953” in his hand above his signature, meaning he signed a year before his death. The Baker is postmarked February 7, 1955 -- 8 years prior to his death -- from his retirement home in Trappe, MD.
