Rare, complete one-year run of Real Sports Comics, published bimontly from Oct.-Nov. 1948 - Oct.-Nov. 1949 by Hillman Periodicals. Volumes #1 through 7, each 52 pages, detailing true stories of sports figures past and present. Pulling no punches, the 1st issue highlighted early 1900s middleweight champ Stanley Ketchel, whose murder by a jealous husband is brutally depicted in the first panels of the story. Most every sport covered. Average condition is a very nice VG-Fine with browning/foxing but still vibrant colors, tight spines and fairly sharp corners.
