This cache of mostly non-sports tobacco cards from the early 20th Century reflects an era of simple leisure-time pleasures. Cards came in cigarette and cigar packs with brands like Hassan, Murad, Turkish Trophies, Fez, Fatima, etc. and include motifs like wild animals, (mandrill, orangutan, etc.), college life (Amity, Drake, Marquette, etc.), battleships, words of wisdom ("Change of Scenery Will Be Beneficial"), state flags (Texas, New Hampshire, Arkansas), country crests (Egypt, France, Brazil), and so on. Also vintage gag card from "Cowflops Cigarettes" reading: "A fine blend of domestic crap and imported dreck. Have one! If they don't cure your halitosis don't blame it on Cowflops." Bonus: an original Murad Turkish Cigarette box, 2.5 x 3", G-VG with 1 flap torn off and overall damage but still a colorful example of this rare brand. Hundreds of cards in all, mostly VG-EX.
