On the reverse of Hank Aaron's Topps 1967 #250 card is the factoid, "He cracked out his 399th and 400th major league home runs against the Phillies." To think that he still had 355 home runs to go. The '67 set in general let the player photo speak for itself with little design embellishment, the printed signature being an exception. Bravo. A shaft of light or print quirk leaves what appears to be a scar down Aaron's face. Look at those stats in the perfectly compositioned green reverse and wonder why he isn't always mentioned in the same breath as Mays or Mantle. We wonder all the time.
