Stunning set of 8x10 press photos ready for release to present the 1961-62 Los Angeles Blades. WHL items are scarce and in demand in the collector mart. Life was good in old L.A. for this contingent of skilled hockey players most of whom would have made the NHL had there not been only the "Original Six". The team featured Willie O'Ree the first black player to skate (Boston Bruins) in the NHL. Garry Goyer centered the 1st line and led the team with 70 points. Other standouts were Dan Belisle, Wally Hergesheimer and Marcel Pellitier in the nets. All photos are NM/MT with original press copy.
