Fabulous award medal known as "The Order of Christ." Instituted in 1318, these are rarely given let alone ever sold. Extremely prestigious award presented by The Pope. A person that received it would be known as a Knight Of The Order of Christ. Dazzling enamel cross in red, white and gold measures 3.5x2". Beautifully framed by the original presentee (unknown) with original satin hanging ribbon. Believed to have been presented some time before the War. Award is NRMT.
