Astute observers of the PSA population report may have noticed that a couple of months ago the number of PSA 10's of the 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle card went from 3 to 2. No, it wasn't a clerical error - it was PSA doing the right thing (as they usually do) and adjusting the grade of a card that had been initially slightly overgraded. So, here's the point - this card is the most perfect, pristine example of one of the most popular and desirable cards ever made, and it grades "only" Mint 9, because of centering. Otherwise, this card is perfectly GEM MINT! The borders are so white they look like Tom Sawyer painted them. The corners are so sharp they look like a diamond laser cut them. The surface is so full and rich it looks like the bedsheets of a king. The grey reverse is so clean and perfect it simply appears like a dream. To be blunt - if you're interested in the BEST copy of this card in the hobby in a PSA 9 holder and can stomach a slight top to bottom o/c then you need to make a hard run at this card - you'll never regret it!
