Nearly impossible to find ducat to watching Negro Leagues legend Josh Gibson play in the Puerto Rican league is a pass into the compelling past of all baseball players of color before Jackie Robinson. The 1 1/2 x 2 1/2" ticket with detailed writing detailing Gibson and the game cost 1.05 total for an early 1940s league game between Gibson's Santurce team and Ponce. Gibson, of Ruthian reputation on the diamond, is considered by many to be the greatest of all Negro League players who didn't play in the majors. Those who attended his games in the Caribbean leagues, however, knew his greatness and would have paid a lot more for a ticket. In an interview, Gibson said his winning the Puerto Rican League MVP trophy in 1941 was his greatest moment as a professional. Ticket is EX.
