Back when one could actually collect autographs from an assembled All-Star team at the ballpark -- an impossible task now given that some arrive by private jet just before the game begins and cut out before it ends -- 27 members of the NL squad at the 1rst All-Star Game that year (played at Pittsburgh's Forbes Field) signed a ball, thereby creating the offered souvenir. Bold blue ink signatures include: HOF'ers Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Ernie Banks, Warren Spahn and Ed Mathews, as well as Lew Burdette, Bill White, Orlando Cepeda, Dick Groat, Elroy Face, Ken Boyer, John Temple, John Antonelli, Wally Moon, Gene Conley, Smoky Burgess, manager Fred Haney , etc. Overall EX-MT condition with signatures averaging an 8/10.
