Extremely rare and even more desirable regional issue of cards issued by a local meat company in the mid 1950's. This set is packed with background variations and error cards to make it challenging to even the most advanced collector. When seen which is almost never these cards are usually found in poor condition. This collection has an overall pleasing eye appeal to it. For the most part the cards are in at least VG condition mainly because of corner wear. There are a handful of cards which grade just slightly lower. Highlights include, Slaughter (GD stock damage and toning to the reverse,) Boudreau (GD stock damage, light writing, and a few light creases,) Astroth (VG light wrinkle.) Additional cards include Raschi (red background) VG, Power yellow background VG, Shantz purple background VG+, Shantz name spelled correct VG slight discoloration, Rena Pink with light pen marks, Shantz orange background GD (pin hole) Portocarrero light background, Kaft blue background, and Valo light background. The remainder of the cards consist of (2) Zernial, Wilson, Astroth, Simpson, Finigan, Susce, Melillo, Sleater, Herbert, Sain, Ceccarelli, Renna, Robertson, Gray, Trice, Kellner, Bevan, Lopez, Gorman, and Boyer. It is worth mentioning, this particular group of cards does not have as much wax as would normally be present on Rodeo Meats cards. This group will go a long way to completing a set or upgrading an existing set. Overall the cards grade 10% VG-EX, 50% VG, and 40% lesser.
