Rod Seiling bridged old and new Ranger eras, providing a steady presence on defense both at the old and current Madison Square Garden over 10 seasons before moving on to other teams to complete a distinguished 13-year career. This 1963-64 "Original Six" jersey was worn by Seiling during a cup-of-coffee trial (2 games, 1 assist) with the Broadway Blueshirts in '63-64 and is a marvelous sign of "old" times, pre-watered down expansion when the original 6 NHL teams knew each other like dogs in a kennel and familiarity bred nothing but contempt. The dureen jersey has the shoelace-style tie-top neck, original "Rangers" diagonal block lettering across the chest in blue and red, and "16" in blue and red. Numbers also on both sleeves. Blue, red and white piping on neck, shoulder and sleeves. "Gerry Cosby" tag on inner waist with somewhat shredded size "48" tag and a sewn-in tag with "64". Plentiful, and painful, use in the form of overall soiling, slash marks most dramatically on right sleeve, a hole near the back hemline, and several team repairs. Hard-core Ranger fans will go through the "Seiling" for this one. Old time hockey!!!
