The Fort Wayne Zollners were the team to beat in the late 1940s, so any game involving them was worthy of such a large-type public notice. The lettering is vivid enough on the 18- by 30-inch cardboard to inspire visions of set shots floating through the dim gym lights. The Zollners won the National Basketball League championship two straight years before they joined the Basketball Association of America, the precursor to the NBA. There's staining plus a few tears and punctures that add reality to this vintage piece of NBA history.
