You'll surely be sweet on this American Caramel card of the great Cy Young (SGC 50 VG/EX) from 1909. Parlor machine-dyed red splashed on the 1 1/2 by 2 1/2-inch card gives the presentation zing. The E90-1's feature the player's name, abbreviated position and abbreviated team on the bottom. Young is one of 118 cards in the set, though the Philly-based American Caramel Co. ad that takes up the entire reverse says that the series only inlcudes 100 cards. This card was likely issued only in 1909 as Young is pictured with the Boston Red Sox, whom he played for in 1908 before joining Cleveland in 1909. But anywhere he went, he was a winner: 511 victories worth.
