Scarce figurines sold in the back of Playboy Magazine during the 1960s. Leroy Nieman's Playboy "Femlins" -- those hotties wearing nothing but arm-length gloves, thigh-high black stockings and spiked heels -- have adorned the mag's "Party Jokes" page for half a century now. Long ago the sexy scamps (whose name derived from "feminine gremlins") gained collectible value, their saucy images painted on ashtrays and other bric a brac -- but more valuably, as porcelain figurines such as these 2 classic and eye-popping Femlins from the '60s who would look perfect on any Hefner wannabe's hi-fi or basement bar counter. One Femlin comes, helpfully, in the prone position, forearms bent under her body and a leg kicked randily into the air. Approx. 11" from bouffant hair to high-heeled toe, not including somewhat compressed boobs. The other is fixed on a base to stand, uh, erect and is approx. 14" from outstretched arms to the base, not including helpfully unleashed boobs. Though the nipples were omitted from both, we promise that butt men will not be disappointed at the rich detail of the hind quarters. As with real women, condition is the key factor, and these Femlins have withstood time better than, say, Bo Derek. Both are smooth and EX-MT. Like kewpie dolls, Femlins don't have individual names or characteristics, though you'll probably want to give them "pet" names. One more promise: they won't talk back.
