In lieu of the annual All Star Game, the stars of the NHL were pitted against those of the Soviet Union in the 1979 NHL Challenge Cup series held over three games at Madsion Square Garden. Although Capitals star Robert Picard appears in the game program and the team photo for the series, he is not listed as playing in any games. This white uniform has Picard's name and number "2" on the back, embroidered NHL shields on the shoulders and another larger shield on the chest. A Cosby tag with a code in marker is sewn into the collar. A truly rare jersey.
