His intense showmanship startled players and entertained the fans. The late Pat Kennedy, the first referree inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame (1959) is known for his animated style but never lost control of a game.He officiated over 4,000 games and was elected Suvervisor of Referees and Referee in Cheif from1946-50. In 1952 his was presented a gold watch as a Charter Member of the NBA. The watch is long gone but the embossed box it came in is presented here. A rare piece of Of NBA history once owned by it's most colorful HOF referee.
