Just getting through one of these things gave a rush to those who grew up as Yankee fans, because it meant entering baseball's Valhalla. The Yankee Stadium turnstile from bygone days is made of blue cast iron with a silver top. A "21" is stenciled in white on the front and the counter reads "92154". "Perey New York" is engraved on a plate on the top. The turnstile retains its color and the scraching is minor for a piece of this kind. Only the base shows more than incidental damage, with the metal rusted and some holes having been eaten, yet befitting its special quality it still stands tall and proud.
