A classic, blue chip baseball card if ever there was one. Collectors often discuss mythological-like cards, and this has always been one for me! 1941 was the year, and some pretty darn amazing things happened that year. Joltin' Joe DiMaggion embarked on a totally mind blowing, likely never to be broken record 56 game hitting streak, young Ted Williams batted .406 for Boston and America was dragged into the war that shaped the world for the rest of the century. Not often mentioned as a rare card in the PSA 8 grade, this card absolutely offers something even better than rarity - VALUE, and in two ways: first, because the card itself is grossly undervalued at current price levels, and secondly because this particular copy is MUCH stronger than most of the other PSA 8's that pop up for sale all of the time. If you know the card, you know that focus and borders are always the downfall - this gem excels in both areas! A clear, precise image fronts a rich pastel backdrop, all of which is framed by totally clean, bright cream white borders. The corners are very solid with only very faint touches at the tips, and the reverse is perfectly printed and untoned. Do not miss this!
