Legendary baseball photographer George Burke snapped this vintage 8x10" of Jose Ma Hernandez of the Cuban Stars circa 1941. Hernandez is holding a bat and standing near the bleachers of an old ballpark while wearing his full Cuban Stars uniform. Has excellent contrast and the Burke stamp on the verso. This is the first Negro League photo by Burke we've ever seen. Minor crease in the upper righthand corner, otherwise EX-MT.
