Extremely rare gold belt buckle was the reward for each Phillie "Whiz Kid" for winning the 1950 NL pennant, before rings were de rigeur. Gorgeous and detailed buckle belonged to popular catcher Andy Seminick who hit .288 during that Cinderella season. Buckle is approx. 2 x 2" and oblong shaped with the opposite sides shaped like laurel leaves. Engraved "NL Champions 1950" with "Andy Seminick" on a curved band above a green-bordered ball and crossed bats. Gold hue is still vibrant and the only real tarnishing is on the back. A NRMT piece of Phillie history.
