Incredible piece of vintage artwork is the handy work of Wayne Boring, who took over the Superman strip from Joe Shuster in the mid 1940's. It was Boring who created The Man of Steel as we know him today and he is, in all estimation the reason why the strip became so widely popular. The art takes up three frames, original strip measures 23x7.5". Excellent condition except for horizontal crease down the middle. Copyright printed on the front: 1947 McClure Newspaper Syndicate.
