Ram-tough catcher’s mask was used by Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella, an appropriate piece of equipment for a guy who was like a Sherman Tank behind the plate. Mask is made of black metal and is completely intact and shows only a few minor areas of rust. The padding is tan colored and shows great game use with all original straps in place. Wilson tag is still in place on the main strap of this great piece of game used memorabilia from “The Boys of Summer” which is still in fantastic shape. Comes with an LOA and a photograph from a 1956 roster sheet showing Campy putting a similar mask on Jackie Robinson Jr. Campy signed the photo in blue ink and his signature rates an “8.5” out of a possible 10.
