Michael Jordan was on his way to dominating the game of roundball, but as a kid he apparently needed work at the game of love. This fabulous letter reveals the teenage Mike as just another in trouble with a girl. Composed seemingly when he was at Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, circa early '80s, the purpose is to apologize to the girl for something he did. Some of it oozes Jordan charm, such as telling "Laquette" that "I made you look pretty rotten after the last night. I want to tell you that I am very sorry, and hope that you accept my apologie [sic]." However, after telling her how pretty she is, he adds, "Please don't let this go to your head (smile)", then begs off a promise to take her out. He also says, "My feeling for you has not change yet -- [joke]." He concluded, "With my best love, Michael J. Jordan." In pencil, light but readable, with the very rare full-name signature grading an 8/10. Two-page letter on lined notebook paper, with five binder holes is EX with light fold marks. Also a laser photo of Jordan and the girl dressed up for a prom. One of a kind looking glass into the human side of His Airness.
