These stunning Giants programs are from two World Series that made the team's fans want to leap off Coogan's Bluff. Both Series pitted Muggsy McGraw's powerhouse against Connie Mack's Philadelphia A's, and both times the A's embarrassed "Mister McGraw." The 1911 program with the late team owner John T. Bursh on the cover includes a scorecard of Game 3, in which Frank Baker earned the sobriquet "Home Run" with a critucal dinger off Christy Mathewson. The 1913 program with a taciturn McGraw on the cover being glad-handed by a Pilgrim recalls a defeat so traumatic that when it was over McGraw poured a glass of beer over coach Wilbert Robinson's head and fired him on the spot. Both programs have held up remarkably well, with the only damage some minor tearing on the 1913 program cover.
