This 57" high wood-carved folk art figure isn't quite a life-sized Babe, but close enough to cause a few double takes. It portrays Ruth in his brief 1935 stint with the Boston Braves, clad in a red pinstriped uniform and red cap with a "B" on it, following through on a swing, a real bat in his hands. Close inspection reveals a few unobtrusive cracks including a long one from neck to the big belly, another inside the front leg, and one on the brown base. A kitschy
bit of Babedom.
