Can it really be 20 years since the Jets played at Shea Stadium? For many of the team's fans, the seasons at the wind-swept ice box off Flushing Bay was the Jets' golden age, and we can still see Namath hitting Maynard over the middle to beat the Raiders in '68. This original Shea locker was a fixture in the Jets locker room since the stadium opened in '64, its top shelves once loaded down with Vitalis and game plans drawn up by Weeb Ewbank and Walt Michaels (never mind Lou Holtz).. The locker, which was removed in a '90s Shea renovation, is painted white over the original green paint. It was also used by the Mets for called up players at the end of the season. The Tom Seaver nameplate is just for show. Very minor damage.
