The great and tragic Brooklyn catcher signed this 1951 wire service photo of him, knees bent and eyes focused like laser beams, awaiting a relay throw homeward by Jackie Robinson in a game against the Chicago Cubs at Ebbets Field. The caption identified the ump in a strikingly similar pose as Bill Stewart and noted that the Cubs won the game 5-1, one of many losses during the Dodgers' late-season tailspin that blew the pennant. Campy signed it "Best wishes, Roy Campanella" in blue pen, grading an 8/10. Photo is 8x10" and EX-NRMT. LOA.
