This beautiful 34" Louisville Slugger dates from the early 1930s and has "Frank 'Lefty' O'Doul" stamped onto the barrel. This dark ash colored bat shows nice use and great patina. It has a scored handle and no cracks. O'Doul was an outfielder and pitcher who played for the Yankees, Giants, Red Sox, Dodgers and Phillies and was one of the biggest stars in the PCL in the 1920s and 30s. He returned to the PCL as manager of the San Francisco Seals from 1935-51, pitching and pinch hitting some, and becoming a renowned mentor of Joe DiMaggio before Joltin' Joe debuted with the Yankees.
