"Let It Bleed" was recorded as the Stones dealt with the sudden death of Brian Jones and the trauma of bringing in an "outside" member, Mick Taylor. The result was a daring mix of blues rock and open-wound anthems like "Gimme Shelter", "You Can't Always Get What You Want", "Midnight Rambler" and the drug confessional "Monkey Man" .The last may explain why the signatures of the post-Jones Stones on the album cover are dramatically different from previous autographed Stones albums. Only Bill Wyman and Mick Jagger are clearly readable, though this may in fact be a plus considering the context of the record. Album jacket EX with very mild damage on the spine.
