Louisville Slugger model S91 bat used by the man whose single season hit record of 257 stood for 83 years before Ichiro Suzuki broke it (in far more at-bats than Sisler did when he also hit .407). Bat dates from the 1940s when Sisler was working for the Dodgers and Pirates organizations and shows good use and plenty of ball marks. Sisler's name is stamped onto the barrel and "S91" is stamped onto the knob. Plenty of tape on the handle which covers a crack about halfway up and a nail put into the bat. You don't see too many bats from one of the greatest hitters who ever walked the earth.
