One of the most coveted of all stadium artifacts is this rare figural seat from the sacred Polo Grounds. Just imagine the ever lasting memories that were captured by fans seated in this very spot. As home to 3 of New York's major baseball clubs -- the Giants (1911-1957), the Yankees (1913-22), and the Mets (1962-63) -- this single seat was witness to countless great moments in baseball history such as Mays' over the shoulder catch in Game 1 of the 1954 World Series and the first New York Mets season. This unrestored, 100% original seat will surlely be a welcomed addition to any high-end collection. Its green paint is still vibrant and almost entirely intact as are the wooden slats which are still in excellent condition. The “NY” logo is incorporated into the side of the right armrest and the top most slat is painted with the white number “1”. EX+.
