The first of only three known to exist. Joe Cronin Official American League baseball represents the ultimate marriage of Sports and Music. Signatures of all four Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are displayed brilliantly on this NRMT baseball, each one taking up a separate panel. The signatures grade an average of "8" out of a possible 10. The ball itself is nearly perfect with a pristine white tone and prominent “Reach” stampings. Timeless piece was one of three obtained from the Washington Senators equipment manager (for his son, a true Beatles fan) who got them personally signed in the clubhouse when the Beatles played at D.C. Stadium on August 15, 1966. This is the first of these three baseballs, which was auctioned by Lelands in our December 2002 auction and sold for over $40,000. It has been consigned to us by the buyer for this special exclusive auction. A terrific opportunity at a very fine and elusive item. The second of the three was offered in our June 4th, 2004 auction and sold for $41,699. The third known ball is owned by another member of the equipment manager's family who has NO interest in selling, even for $100,000. To set the record straight on the known quantities, there is an alleged Beatles "Shea Stadium" baseball which was offered to us years ago in person by a major autograph forger from the Detroit area. Comes with LOA.
