Dated March 25, 1943, it reads in part, “I really have enjoyed my experience in the Navy so far, especially the flying. I am really crazy about that and I hope I can make the grade and earn my wings.” Signed, “Thanks for everything, As ever, Ted.” Ink grades “9” out of a possible 10. Letter with original mailing folds, otherwise EX-MT. Comes with original envelope, postdated Mar. 28, 1943, also filled out in William’s hand, as “Av.Cadet Ted Williams, U.S.N.R.”
