Popular New York Yankee catcher, Thurman Munson played 28 games that season for the IL World Champion Chiefs. Top of the ring is small diamond within a star, surrounded by ivy wreath and the words, “1969 Syracuse Governor’s Cup” in raised lettering. Right shank is “International League” across top banner with baseball players motif below and “IL” in thick raised letters. Opposite shank is the name, “T.
