From the funeral of the man who changed baseball forever comes this assorment of items: 1) Single red rose from the bed of flowers that was laid alongside Ruth's casket. 2) Two-page, pencil written letter from a photographer at the event mentioning the acquisition of the rose and the massive crowds that showed up at Yankee Stadium to mourn. 3) Black cursive printed admission card for the funeral service at St. Patricks Cathedral (EX). 4) 8"x10" photograph of the Universal Chapel Building. (EX). 5) August 19, 1948 article cut from the New York Journal-American titled "Teh Home Run King's Last Day in Yankee Stadium" (VG). 6) Type written letter on cut paper to be read to the press informing them of the details of the memorial service.
