Offered in all its glory and splendor is this magnificent sterling silver tray, presented to Willie Mays in 1979 as he received baseball's highest honor. Given to him for his Hall of Fame induction, the large tray with ornately carved handles and trim is adorned with an intricately engraved ivy design and the words, "Judge Emil E. Fuchs Memorial Award, presented to Willie Mays upon his election to Baseball's Hall of Fame - Boston Chapter, Baseball Writers Association of America, January 25, 1979. Bottom of tray is elevated by 4 short "legs" underneath. Measures 30" from handle to handle and 20" top to bottom. EX-MT.
