The Miracle Worker, who defined the Brooklyn Bums persona, is one of the greatest players, currently not enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Offered is one of his three Gold Glove awards, an attractive display with gold first baseman’s glove with gold plate in front which reads, “1958 Rawlings Gold Glove Award 1B - Gil Hodges - Los Angeles Dodgers - The Sporting News National League All Star Fielding Team.” Gold painted ball to the right has been re-gilded. Otherwise 100% original. One of the original “Boys of Summer”, look for Hodges at Cooperstown in 2005! Piece was originally obtained from the Hodges family.
